VICTORIA HARBOUR – Get ready for the highly anticipated return of the 2024 Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races. This iconic event promises to deliver an unforgettable spectacle as legendary dragon boat teams from across the globe gather to compete in the picturesque Victoria Harbour.

The races, scheduled for 15th and 16th June 2024 (Saturday and Sunday), will showcase the thrilling 500M races, where teams of 22 paddlers race to the finish line, their synchronized strokes propelling their elaborately decorated boats through the water.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board and Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association are collaborating to ensure a memorable experience for spectators and participants alike. Special arrangements have been made to accommodate the large crowds expected to attend.

As part of the Tuen Ng Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, these races hold cultural significance and are eagerly anticipated by locals and international visitors. The festival, celebrated annually, honors the memory of the renowned Chinese poet Qu Yuan and is marked by dragon boat races and delicious rice dumplings.
