Defensa y Justicia Draws 1-1 with Always Ready in Copa Libertadores
Argentine Club Falls Short Despite Strong Performance

WEB Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia, commonly known as Defensa y Justicia, played to a 1-1 draw with Bolivian club Always Ready in their second match of the Copa Libertadores Group A at the Estadio Norberto Tito Tomaghello. Despite a strong performance from the Argentine side, they were unable to secure all three points.
Defensa y Justicia started the match brightly and took the lead in the 25th minute through a penalty converted by forward Miguel Merentiel. The hosts continued to control the game and created several chances to extend their advantage, but they were unable to find the back of the net for a second time.
Always Ready improved in the second half and gradually grew into the game. They were rewarded for their efforts in the 65th minute when midfielder Javier Sanguinetti leveled the score. The Bolivian side continued to press for a winner, but the Defensa y Justicia defense held firm to secure a point.
Defensa y Justicia remains in third place in Group A with one point from two matches, while Always Ready is now in second place with four points. The Argentine club will be aiming to improve their standing when they travel to Ecuador to face LDU Quito in their next match on April 12.
