Asaduddin Owaisi Retains Gajwel Seat
In the recently concluded Hyderabad Lok Sabha elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has successfully retained his Gajwel seat.
With a resounding victory, Owaisi surpassed his own margin from the previous general elections. He emerged victorious by a staggering 45000 votes.
However, the Bahujan Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief faced a setback in his bid for the Secunderabad constituency. He was defeated by Katipali Venkata Ramana Reddy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Despite the loss in Secunderabad, Owaisi's victory in Gajwel reinforces his stronghold in his traditional constituency. The AIMIM's performance in these elections further solidifies its position as a significant political force in the Hyderabad region.
